I am feeling...
"Take off your... socks... and jacket."
Greetings and salutations.....
The quote that adequately sums up my life...
"The least I can do is take off my socks and feel good about it." --me
The *very* least. That is the most productive thing I've done in the last three days.

On Friday, I was heading out of the SMC campus with Amber and Amy, en route to Amber's house for lunch and a decent shower. We passed two huge buses on the way to the gates, and the three of us nearly screamed our heads off. Both buses were filled with men.
You see, there's something you have to understand. I go to a women's college. It's not as if we never see any guys, but... we never see any guys. Sure, we could go across the street to Notre Dame (and a lot of us do), but the guys over there are not very interesting, to say the very least in the most inoffensive way. We're not starved for sex or anything (my roomies would certainly dispute this, however), but guys are just... not around. Two buses full of men driving around our campus for no apparent reason is a huge thing here. It's nothing short of an official campus holiday.
Anyways. I digress. We'd not driven a few more feet when Amber said, "ND plays Michigan State this weekend... maybe they're Michigan State football players." We all looked at each other in silence, and did what any good woman would do. Amy stomped her foot on the gas and we took a fast loop around campus to find the buses.
Well, we found them. The boys were filing out of the buses next to one of the residence halls and heading for our dining hall. We drove really slowly by the buses with our mouths open the whole time (give us a break, they were *hot*), and once more did what any good woman would do. Amy turned the car around and floored it to the parking lot next to the dining hall. We could be late to Amber's house if it meant eating lunch with 75 football players.
Indeed we did... Amber strategically picked a table *right in the middle* of this sea of 75 football players and coaches in blue polo shirts and khakis. It was *hilarious*. There we were, three girls in a sea of guys, acting like nothing was out of the ordinary. We never did figure out why the hell they were eating at our dining hall, or where they were going, but we did find out later that they came from a small college in Canton, Ohio. We didn't actually talk to any of them, however, because we were having the hardest time figuring out whether they were in high school or college. Sounds horrible, I know, but it was a tough call.
We also got to watch one of the coaches pour hot sauce in the head coach's drinks and all over his food while the head coach was up getting something. All the coaches and players who saw him do this were all trying so hard not to laugh... another coach at the table was almost choking, he was rolling so hard. He was definitely the most amusing to watch... he looked over at the three of us girls and raised an eyebrow in the head coach's direction, and we cracked up. The head coach didn't seem to notice the hot sauce, however... so after he got up to get coffee, another guy lured him away from the table and they poured the rest of the bottle in his coffee. He definitely noticed that- he almost barfed. All in all, it was well worth being late to Amber's house... good times for all.

Note to the guy driving the white truck going north on 31 in Niles: please come back and love my roommates. Please. After we let you pass to stare at you, we tried to chase after you. But alas, the bitch in the Toyota in front of us was going too slow, and we could not pass her. Please come back.

Amy burned me copies of Prodigy's "Songs for the Jilted Generation" and the Fight Club soundtrack. They are both fabulous! I am definitely feeling the need right now to reimmerse myself in Fight Club. Maybe I shall go rent it sometime this week.

We went tailgating before the ND/MSU game with Liz and her friends, and it was quite the good time. Mary's brother Tony is the *funniest* drunk person I've ever met. We were chillin like villains, and it was great. I didn't even get to the game until 2:53 left in the third quarter. We are definitely going to chill with them before the rest of the home games... maybe we can even get there a bit earlier too, no? ;)

It's been one damn good time after another so far this year, and it's only a month into the school year. I would like to say that I have the world's coolest roommates ever... you girls are fabulous.

I have class in exactly 5 hours and 19 minutes. I have to get up in 4 hours and 19 minutes. Maybe I should get to sleep now, no? I did tell Josh that I was going to sleep about 3 1/2 hours ago, but obviously, that didn't happen. Oh well. I'm out of here for real this time. Hasta luego.
