Greetings and salutations.....
So I happened to get a few "where the hell are you hiding out?" emails lately... I went camping. Sorry.
But I must say, the trip was a *much* needed break from the usual shit... me, Becky, Nikki, Diana, Andrew, Brandon, Tim, and Dave (aka the Maloney Family) headed over to Muskegon to have some mad fun. I was only there for three days (they were there for five), but I wish I could have stayed longer. I mean, damn... throwing marshmallows, bumming around the beach, having long talks, watching Dave throw batteries in the fire, running with the FLC relay team, getting to be tighter friends with everyone, making fart noises for the hell of it cuz we were too bored to sleep, reading tarot cards, having hot park rangers yelling at us cuz we're too loud... I have the greatest friends in the whole world. :)
(I am disappointed, however, that I did not get to see if the boys would bring the six foot inflatable penis on the beach or not...)
Well, something sad about the whole situation does preoccupy my mind. The friends that I am referring to are but a slice of the old Crew. It's now just us... the pro-Brandon camp, if you will. It seems as though our old Crew has been split into pro-Brandon and pro-Kathryn sides. The worst thing is, is that it's not just everyone's opinions that have decided the sides- it's division by association. Hanging out with one person more than the other (or just hanging out with someone who who does) automatically shifts you to that person's side. It's confusing. It's annoying. It's stupid. But then again, stupid times make people do stupid things.
I am part of the pro-Brandon camp by association, but that doesn't mean I am anti-Kathryn's side. I don't condemn. I know what happened, and what keeps happening, but I don't condemn. It's not my fight, yet it is. I, like most everyone else, am dragged into the fight whether I know it or not. But it's not my (our) fight. It barely involves three people. So why are we divided over three peoples' business? Have they dragged us into it? Have we dragged ourselves into it? Everyone go think about it.
And Joker, darling, I don't envy you one bit. If you thought it was bad in January when you came home from the Naval Academy, look what you're coming home to now.
Hasta la vista... and to my fellow Maloneys, have fun at the Blink concert tonight. :)
