I am feeling...
"The Fun Lovin Criminals hit up the Moulin Rouge."
Greetings and salutations.....
Today, I went to babysit for Jordan and Melissa. They were great as usual, and we had a lot of fun. Afterwards I came home, had dinner, and bummed around online. After a rather suggestive conversation with Jeffery, I received an invite from Becky and Nikki to go see Moulin Rouge, which I gladly accepted.
How was it? Well...
***Note to self: go buy a copy of Moulin Rouge. Also, go buy Moulin Rouge soundtrack, and not for that fucking awful "Lady Marmalade" song either.***
I absolutely *loved* it!!! I was getting so into the movie that I cried through the entire last hour of it... I am such a nerd! :) And let me say this... Ewan McGregor can have his dirty way with me any day he wants. He can also sing "Your Song" to me whenever he wants.
Amen to that.
However, I would like to clarify the fact that if you ever hear me say that I would absolutely die if my man sang "Your Song" to me, I did NOT pull the idea from this movie. I repeat, I DID NOT. I am a huge Elton John fan, and "Your Song" is my favorite song of his. Hell, I've just been trying to find a guy who likes that song to begin with for a long, long time, let alone one who will sing it to me. When I heard Ewan was singing it in this movie... well, that just hooked me right there. I *had* to see it, even if that gorgeous slice of man wasn't singing it to me.
Anyways, moving on. Seriously, that movie was just what I needed right now. I needed a good solid cry to get out all the emotions that have been welled up in my being for the last month or so. At times I kept seeing someone else's face in place of one of the actor's... but that only helped. I feel a lot lighter and not so preoccupied with worries since I bawled like a baby for a solid hour.
What a great movie. Next up on my list: Blow. Yeah, I know it's been out for awhile, but I don't get out to movies very often. I saw Tomb Raider on Saturday, but the last movie I saw before that was Dude, Where's My Car. Does that tell you anything?
I will now leave you with some wisdom from Becky and I...
