I am feeling...
"Egg rolls, water buffalo, and lederhosen- oh my!"
Greetings and salutations.....
Yes, we techies rocked the house with another successful performance of Gypsy... and I must say, tonight was the most fun night so far. It was quite a riot. Let's see, what fun stuff happened...
--Doug smacked Angela with her hat really loudly during a break in the dialogue and it reverberated throughout the whole auditorium.
--Two words: lamb stew.
--Four more words: fun with pizza rolls.
--We put a fringed Spanish hat on Doug and he started dancing for us (Ole!). This is has earned him the nicknames of the Dancing Spanish Jellyfish and the Scottish Lampshade (aside from Tinkerbell, his previous nickname).
--We decided that us crew members are going to come out for our bow on Sunday wearing sombreros.
--We kept hiding Ryan's hat and watching him spazz all over the place.
--Angela and I, by order of El Director, had to glue egg rolls to a plate for the hotel scene, but it wasn't working. We tried a glue gun, and then spray adhesive, but nothing seemed to work. I was getting really frustrated, and in a random fit of anger, grabbed some clear tape and taped the egg rolls to the plate. Let me tell you, those egg rolls haven't moved since.
--In accordance with the geographical discrepancies regarding the backdrops, we formulated new special effects for the play... these plots included, but are not limited to: German mountain climbers in lederhosen, herds of wild llamas, scuba divers, octopi, water buffalo, bison, and reenactments of medieval Scottish battles.
What a fun night, eh? And to think, in two days I'm retiring from the backstage...
Maybe it won't be a permanent retirement.
Maybe.
