I am feeling...
"Excuse me while I serenade the computer lab..."
Greetings and salutations.....
OK, so maybe my sister isn't that big a jackass. We still ended up going to Purdue for Grand Prix and seeing the Delta Theta Sigma boys. And you know what? It was wonderful! I was insanely fucked up in every possible way, and it felt great.
Incredibly embarassing moment of the day: so I sit down at a computer in the corner of the computer lab, ready to update my diary and look up some old pictures online for Gypsy. I plug my headphones in to the computer and put a They Might Be Giants CD in. I crank up the headphone volume and listen to the lovely opening strains of "Birdhouse In Your Soul". A minute or so later, a girl comes over and taps on my shoulder, so I slipped my headphones off one ear to hear her. "Can you turn the volume down?" she asks. Now, at first I thought she was crazy, because I didn't think I had the headphone volume on that loudly... but then, after pausing and listening for a second, I realized what she meant.
Usually it is an unspoken rule in the computer lab that the computer volume is always on mute. However, the jackass that had used this particular computer last had turned the computer volume on, and really loudly, for that matter. I was so used to the computer being muted that I didn't even check to see if it was or not. I chanced a look around me and realized *everyone* was staring at me. The whole computer lab had been listening to "Birdhouse In Your Soul" along with me at an extremely loud volume. So I apologized profusely and muted the computer volume, and everybody gave me a few more dirty looks and went on their merry ways. Man, if I ever find out who used this damn thing before me, there will be hell to pay.
But anyways, all embarassment aside... I missed both my morning classes again today. I am such a lazy fuck. Next semester probably won't be much better. Well... if I get the job, maybe a summer of working at the hospital will help a bit. Since I'd be going to work with Mom and Aniela, I'd have two people bitching at me to get up in the morning.
To-do list for today: go to Theatre at 2 and Lives and Times at 3. Dinner at 4:30. Chill with Doug "Tinkerbell" McBeth, Angela, and Sven the Monkey at rehearsal for Gypsy at 6. Work on Project #2. Do some homework after rehearsal.
All work and no play makes Gabby a surly and vindictive creature.
It also makes her oversleep in the mornings.
Oh, right... my laziness is actually overwork and fatigue... riiiight... don't I wish I had a valid excuse for being such a slug.
