I am feeling...
"Easter adventures with the Fun Lovin Criminals."
Greetings and salutations.....
Well, hey now. I'm back from Easter break in Detroit. Upon my return, I have found that I am even more unwilling to work and go to classes than I was when I left. And I was only home for four and a half days, jeez...
But break as a whole was mostly fun. On Thursday, I went to chill at Metro Airport with Becky and Nikki, and that was lots of fun. As we were walking out of the parking structure, we were entertaining the passing cars by shaking our asses at them. I'm sure those people really appreciated it. :) Then we went to people-watch in the concourses and ride the moving sidewalk things back and forth ("Moving sidewalk, moving sidewalk!"). We saw (and openly mocked) all sorts of fun people, such as Thug Man, Mr. Where Did My Neck Go?, Mr. Bumblebee Tuna, Super Honky, The Sleeping Japanese Woman, The Wandering Canadian Whore, Mrs. I Have Size 44DD Boobs And I Think I Can Fit Into A 13 Year Old's Training Bra, and Mrs. Lime Green Gummi Worm. It was the experience of a lifetime.
Afterwards, on our way out of the parking structure, we rolled the windows in my Jeep down and belted out "Beautiful Day" by U2 for all thirteen lines of cars waiting to pay to hear. A couple in an Explorer applauded us. I think they were drunk. But we were really trying to get the attention of a guy in a Ranger two lines over so we could see if he was hot.
On Saturday, I went to go see "Pollock" at Maple Art Theatre with Doug, and that was lots of fun. I really enjoyed the movie, although it took me 10-15 minutes to realize what was going on in the movie. It was good, though, I highly recommend it. Afterwards, we went to get Burger King and visit Becky, who was hard at work at Fanatic U. Well... actually... she was just chillin and reading Harry Potter. ;)
Later on, the Fun Lovin Criminals (me, Beck, and Nikki) assembled once again to journey to Royal Oak, the land of good coffee, hot men, and boys who play guitar and sing impromptu songs entitled "What A Big Head You Have/I Can Eat With Chopsticks" on the corner on Main Street. On our way down Main Street, who did we encounter, but my gorgeous whatever-he-is-to-me-now, Amir. I tell you, that just made my weekend right *there*. I hadn't seen him since December, and I was going into withdrawal. I miss him a lot sometimes... OK, I lied, all the time...
So anyways, I got to see my Amir, along with Nick, and me and Nikki met Becky's friend Steve from U-MD and his friends. What fun! This one guy who's name I can't remember was harassing Nikki like none other, and it was absolutely hilarious to watch. Later on, Jeffery and his bud Brandon met up with us, and that was fun. Brandon is funny as all hell, let me tell you.
On Monday morning, before I left for the Bend again, I went to Saint Mary Mercy Hospital for a job interview... I'm applying for a file clerk position in Radiology, which basically entails a lot of x-ray filing, among not much else. 10 dollars an hour to file x-rays? I can handle that. The only bad thing is that my mother and sister both work at Saint Mary Mercy too. Argh! I don't know if I can handle *that*.
That was my break in a nutshell. Any days not mentioned were most likely spent either at church with my family or being bothered by my family. So I guess, in a way, I really wanted to come back to SMC. ;) I've only got 13 more class days and 5 days of finals to go, so it's all good. Now if only my work schedule would lighten up... only 13 more days until "Gypsy" is over. Ugh. The end couldn't come any sooner.
I'm off to Purdue this weekend for Grand Prix... it should be a lot of fun. I've just got to confirm what time my sister is coming down and call Sarah, and things will be all straightened out. Fraternity boys and beer... life is going to get just that much better this weekend. ;)
OK, I'm off. I'm going to try and get some reading done before going to work. Hasta lasagne, don't get any on ya.
